We started this site as part of a local history project, after discovering so many fascinating historical places sat on our own door step, many of which time has forgotten

We invest our time, equipment and energy to bring you all the information we find.

Information is collected from the place itself, research in the archives and of course urban myths and legends - just to add a dash of spice!

I sincerely hope that this site promotes any place we have visited, and gives our overseas visitors a comprehensive guide to our wonderful British Heritage.
