This site began as part of a local history project. After discovering so many fascinating historical places, many of which, sat on our own door step, we began to broaden out & venture further.

We invest our time, equipment & energy to bring you all the information we find.

Information is collected from the place itself, research in the archives & of course urban myths & legends - just to add a dash of spice!

We sincerely hope that this site promotes any place(s) we have visited, & gives our overseas visitors a comprehensive guide to our wonderful British Heritage.
